Centurywall Panel Construction
CWP Panels are provided with
hidden fastener off-set joinery for easy installation from the building
exterior. They are used for exterior walls where a flat architectural
metal appearance, insulation value and long spans between supports are
required.
CWP Panels can be installed
either horizontally or vertically and are available with a closed (SI)
or reveal (RI) exterior joint. The reveal serves as a bold linear accent
feature and provides a capillary break to insure optimum weather integrity
for horizontal applications.
End joints are finished with
a matching extruded aluminum piece set with sealing tapes and plugged
at reveals, or panels can be factory folded for a "trimless"
installation. Trimless end joints are commonly treated with a field
applied gasket or foam backer rod and sealant.
CWP series panels are manufactured in a uniform pressure laminating process that bonds metal facings to pre-cured insulating rigid foam cores. This process uses ICBO approved Type II, Class 2 structural urethane adhesives applied under heat and pressure to form an integral bond between steel and foam. Cores are inspected for uniform density and cell structure, and then are machine-milled to exacting tolerances. This extra care ensures premium quality flat cores, suitable for use with embossed or smooth facings. As a result of this unique process, Metecno-API is proud to offer blister-free warranties on all Centurywall products.
Spans shown are limited by deflection under uniform live load only. Spans may be restricted by other factors including deflection due to differential temperatures and connection points required for fasteners.
